This painting evolved from a free expression of blue sky and clouds into an assemblage of images as I drew on the canvas. The composition slowly developed into a series of arches drawn against a backdrop of the blue sky and clouds that I had started with. A asked a 3 year old member of my family what the painting looked like and she said immediately "a castle." That is how it got it's title.
